Huawei Nova 10 SE: Design:

The Huawei nova 10 SE is a beautiful phone that will catch your eye the moment you take it out of the box. Choose from Starry Black, Starry Silver, or Mint Green. The Mint Green version stands out for its fresh, modern look, making it a surefire success with the younger demographic.

The nova 10 SE’s back panel is coated with high-quality polycarbonate that shimmers in the light. The crystal and matte appearance gives the surface a shiny, smooth texture that is also fingerprint-resistant. The device’s rear camera module is oval in shape, and it employs a novel design dubbed the Start Orbit Ring, which consists of two enormous circular segments housing the camera sensors.

It’s a three-camera configuration, with the primary camera sensor in the upper circle and two additional sensors (ultra-wide and macro) in the lower circle. The AI Triple Camera label and the dual-LED flash are located on the right side of the device. The Huawei logo is located at the base of the back panel and serves as the finishing touch.

The device’s connectors and controls are conveniently located. The SIM slot, primary microphone, USB-C connector, and speaker are on the bottom, and the volume rocker and power button (which doubles as a fingerprint reader) are on the right. The secondary microphone is located on top.

With a screen-to-body ratio of 91.85%, the front panel’s slim bezels show off plenty of content. The cutout for the front-facing camera sensor is positioned in the upper middle of the screen. The 2.5D glass material allows for a flat design with rounded corners.

It has a huge battery (4500 mAh), but the device is nevertheless tiny (7.39 mm) and light (184 grammes), thanks to its ergonomic design, so you can use it with just one hand.

Huawei Nova 10 SE: Display

The Huawei nova 10 SE’s FHD+ OLED screen faithfully renders colours, nuances, and details from virtually every angle. Graphics, animations, app scrolling, and UI navigation are all silky smooth thanks to its rapid 90Hz refresh rate and fast 270Hz touch sampling rate.

It offers a variable refresh rate that adjusts to your needs to maximise both performance and battery life. The screen’s ability to display up to 1.07 billion colours means that everything looks crisp and clear.

The gadget also has an Always-on-Display that can be adjusted to your liking; you can pick from a variety of predefined options, or make your own.

Performers and Hardware

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680G 4G, a midrange chipset, is what drives the Nova 10 SE. It has 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and GPU Turbo capability for improved graphics performance. It’s important to note that there’s no way to add more storage space by using a microSD card.

The SoC has sufficient power to do routine chores without issue. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which typically requires a desktop computer to run because to its detailed graphics and slow frame rate, runs smoothly on this phone.

It can handle extreme graphics, but if you’re concerned about battery life, you’re better off with the Smooth or Medium settings. Surprisingly, even graphics-intensive games like Asphalt 9 work on this gadget. Even though it just has a single speaker, the Huawei nova 10 SE produces high-quality audio.

With the phone’s NFC and Bluetooth 5.0 capabilities, you may quickly and easily share and collaborate on files with other Huawei devices. The lack of 5G support is disappointing. Unlocking the device via facial recognition or fingerprint scanning is quick as well.

Camera Quality:

With its 108MP f/1.9 main sensor, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide depth camera, and 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor, the Huawei nova 10 SE has an impressive camera system for its price category. The primary sensor enables users to capture stunning images that are true to life in terms of colour, detail, and saturation.

Warm tones, solid contrast, and wide dynamic range are typical of images captured with this lens. Contrarily, the ultra-wide camera captures reasonably detailed images, albeit with somewhat subpar colour accuracy.

The sensor, though, is a fantastic improvement for those who frequently shoot landscapes. Portrait photos, in which the subject is isolated from a background with the use of an algorithm, are also possible with the rear camera.

The arrangement is finished off with a fixed-focus macro sensor, allowing for pin-sharp close-ups. It may take a little longer to snap a photo, but its night mode is worth the wait. This enhancement successfully lightens dim regions without bleaching out bright ones or distorting colour.

The camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p@30fps and also features EIS. Last but not least, the front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel sensor capable of snapping sharp, high-detail photographs in a flash.

Software and Battery:

In terms of software, the Huawei nova 10 SE utilises EMUI 12. It, like the company’s recent offerings, does not include Google Play preloaded. Petal Search allows users to search for and install apps from both Petal’s internal app gallery and external app shops.

On the PCMark Work 3.0 battery life test, the nova 10 SE lasted for up to 13 hours. It just takes 40 minutes to fully charge the gadget thanks to its capability of 66W rapid charging.
