Before being found guilty of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd, Derek Chauvin scrawled his lawyer’s contact information on his hand in anticipation of going to prison, according to his attorney, who spoke to TMZ.
Images of Chauvin being led out the courtroom in handcuffs indicate that he has writing in black ink on his left hand. Eric Nelson, Chauvin’s attorney, told TMZ that his client appeared to be bracing for the worst since he understood that if he were found guilty, his bail would probably be revoked.
On Tuesday, Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree deliberate homicide, third-degree homicide, and second-degree manslaughter in the killing of Floyd. His sentencing is scheduled for eight weeks from now.

Chauvin Was Arrested And Will Now Be Sentenced

Judge Cahill first ruled on November 12, 2020, that Chauvin and the other three policemen would be prosecuted concurrently. On January 11th, 2021, Cahill overturned this decision, limiting this case to Chauvin’s trial alone, without the consideration of the other police. Nelson has made an effort to highlight Floyd’s drug use and has attempted to establish that on Wednesday, when officers took Floyd down, Floyd shouted, “I ate too many drugs.”
