In the 2017 Wimbledon singles tournament, we have reached the round of 16. The tournament’s traditional break in the middle on Sunday means that top-seeds Andy Murray and Angelique Kerber, as well as men’s favourite Roger Federer, will all be playing on the same day.
What Channel is Wimbledon 2017 on:
On Monday, everyone of note will be playing, so you’ll have to flip around the channels to see them all. Court 1 and the outer courts will be the focus of ESPN2’s coverage from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, with the coverage switching locations throughout the day. ESPN will air the action from Centre Court beginning at 8 a.m. and going until 3 p.m.
Online streaming will be the most convenient method to keep up with the action, though. Streaming coverage of all courts is available via the Watch ESPN website and the ESPN app for smartphones and other connected devices.
Top seed Andy Murray and second seed Novak Djokovic, the defending champion, both have to face unseeded opponents in the round of 16. When Djokovic faces Adrian Mannarino, Murray will play Benoit Paire.
Third-seeded Federer, who is heavily favoured to win an eighth Wimbledon championship, will meet No. 13-seeded Grigor Dimitrov in the quarterfinals.
Like the men, Kerber poses a formidable test for the ladies. After losing in the first round of the French Open, her strong performance at Wimbledon is well appreciated. The formidable Garbine Muguruza will be her opponent on Monday.
Despite reaching the French Open finals, Simona Halep ultimately fell to the unseeded Jelena Ostapenko. At Wimbledon, Halep is the No. 2 seed, and her Round of 16 opponent will be the No. 7 seed and very formidable Victoria Azarenka.
Ostapenko, who is now the No. 13 seed at Wimbledon, will face No. 4 Elina Svitolina on Monday.
Detailed information about Monday’s Grand Slam singles matches is provided below, along with links to live video. Here you can find the whole men’s bracket and results, and here you can find the same for the women.
