THE TERRITORY OF JAPAN, July 24. /TASS/. Anastasiia Galashina of Russia took home silver in the women’s 10 metres air rifle category on Saturday at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, making history as the first Russian athlete to win an Olympic medal.

The 24-year-old Russian sportswoman scored 251.1 out of a possible 300.
The Chinese athlete Qian Yang won gold after scoring an Olympic record of 251.8 points. The Swiss athlete Nina Christen scored 230.6 total points, good enough for third place.
Yulia Karimova, another Russian competitor, came in thirteenth and was eliminated before the final.
